Bloody conflict continues in Darfur, hundreds of thousands have fled from the Republic of Sudan. However, in Russia in most cases they are refused to be recognized as refugees.
Migration Office employees explained their rejection referring to the Regulation of access to procedure and ignoring the Convention relating to the Status of Refugees.

Alen and Clair Esube Tabve, from the Democratic Republic of Congo, came to us in January this year – it was absolutely freezing and their two small children were with them with no place and no means by which to live. Unfortunately since then almost nothing has changed – Although we helped them start the procedure to receive refugee status, the whole family is in desperate need. We decided to share their story and to ask for help.

Representatives of “Doctors Without Borders”, Dutch branch brought over some medicine, sleeping-bags and rags for sleeping on.
